House of Cards returns to Netflix on Friday, November 2, 2018. 

The House of Cards cast has pulled out of an aspect on NBC Today following Megyn Kelly’s horrific blackface comments. Stars from the award-victorious Netflix series were due to aspect on the show next week, but their slit has now been scrap.

It’s unknown which stars were expecting to be interviewed, however, Robin Wright and Micheal Kelly, who play Claire Underwood and Doug Stamper, have been hard at work promoting the upcoming series. Megyn sparked backlash on her Today show earlier this week when she made controversial comments about blacking up.

Questioning why the wounding develop is wrong, she asked: ‘But why is it racist?’

It read: ‘I realize now that such behavior is indeed wrong and I am sorry. ‘The history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent; the wounds too deep. I’ve never been a “pc” kind of person – but I understand that we do need to be more sensitive in this day and agree.’ You do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween… like, when I was a kid, that was ok as long as you were dressing up as a character.’ Shortly after, Megyn mattered an apology to her colleagues via an email, the pacifying of which was later read out on NBC’s Nightly News.

It was disclosed by sources earlier today that Megyn could be leaving the show by the end of the year. A show insider announced: ‘She is expected to be leaving at the end of the season ‘We start discussions earlier this month about a different role within NBC News because Megyn wants to be involved in political coverage in a deeper way than she can do at 9 am.’

They added to PEOPLE:-Megyn advisable before this brouhaha that she wanted to move on before the end of the year in order to be complicated in the presidential campaign coverage.’
